  35. Speaking of speed, according to the review on Blitz, it is faster than 
  36. Amos for a very good reason, it is a true compiler!

  38. The Amos compiler does not `compile' in a strict sense, it reworks the
  39. code and has its own interpreter tacked along.

  41. Blitz on the other hand, compiles to machine code which is interpreted
  42. (i.e. executed) by the CPU itself.
